REGULAR MEMBERSHIP MEETING
The regular 1st shift membership meeting was held on
The 44 members present paid their respects to the
flag.
Prayer was held for the membership and for the
local.
Roll call was taken with John Ballard Jr., Jerry
Fyffe, Dan Palmer, Tim Stuck absent. Sue Bostwick, Kim Derringer, Von Fessler,
Tracey Kelly, Cheryl Rice on vacation. Jim Holley on national guard reserve duty.
Motion made and seconded to dispense with the
reading of the February membership meeting minutes, subject to question.
Motion carried unanimously..
Motion made and seconded to approve the March
Executive Board minutes as read, and recommendations therein, subject to
question.
Recommendation to send the
top three officers and two shop committeemen to go to the May conference board
meeting. Keith added that he would ask the two skilled
trades shops if one of them would like to attend, the other attendee being a non-skilled
shop committeeman.
Motion carried unanimously.

and Ryan Melvin today and we could not reach an agreement, so Paul Hegwood said he would start laying members off from the bottom
up.

REPORT OF THE PRESIDENT, LARRY WEST:
Thanked everyone who worked
on the American Cancer Society Fish Fry/Monte Carlo. It was a very successful fish fry and we
raised $6,300 for American Cancer!
Reminded everyone that the annual Making Strides Walk will be in October
and we encourage everyone to take part!
Reported that the IUE-CWA
Local 755 golf outing will be held on June 25th at Larch Tree golf
course. If you are interested in being
involved as a golfer or as a helper at the event, stay tuned as more details
are forthcoming. All proceeds from this
event will benefit the Children’s Christmas party.
Larry
congratulated all the April retirees and wished them a long and healthy
retirement
Reported that Jim Holley ,Exec
Bd member is in his 23rd year of the National Guard and that he would
be retiring after this tour. Thanked Jim
for serving his country.
Reported that Jim Holley is in charge of the Union
bulletin boards and he will be moving those into the break areas.
