Q. What is the IUE-CWA Delphi Individual Upward Education Plan?
A. The IUE-CWA Delphi Plan is a program providing prepaid financial assistance when you 
enroll in educational, retraining, or other eligible courses. This Plan replaces the Delphi/GM Refund Program.
Q. How will this Tuition Assistance Plan help me?
A. When you complete or continue your education, upgrade existing skills, or learn new skills, 
you prepare yourself to take advantage of new employment opportunities and possibly qualify 
for new categories of employment within Delphi Automotive Systems. 
Q. How do I know if I'm eligible for this program?
A. You are eligible if :
you are a IUE-CWA represented Delphi employee in the United States on the active rolls or on 
approved leave of absence (excluding sick leave or educational leave), and 
you have seniority
Q. What does tuition assistance mean?
A. Tuition assistance means you may enroll at an approved educational or training institution and 
some or all of your tuition and other fees will be paid by the Plan. The IUE-CWA Delphi Plan pays  
tuition and eligible fees directly to the school you are attending.
Q. What schools or institutions can I attend?
A. Eligible schools or institutions for this program are specifically identified in the IUEP guidelines for each 
IUE-CWA Delphi locations. You should contact your local Joint Skills Development and Training Committee
to obtain the names and addresses of those schools approved for your particular plant location.
Q. What courses can I take?
A. Under the IUEP you can take:
courses leading to high school completion or a high school equivalency certificate.
Many states provide these courses free; if your state pays for high school completion, the IUEP will not 
cover these courses. You can use the Plan to pay for other courses below.
college or university courses.
business school courses
trade, vocational, or technical school courses.
Such courses are approval if they meet one or more of the following criteria:
designed to improve present job skills or to update the employee in the technology of the trade 
or occupation.
taken to complete the requirements for a high school diploma or equivalent.
literacy courses in fundamental reading, writing and mathematics.
required or pertinent courses in a degree seeking program appropriate to a career in Delphi 
Automotive Systems
Q. How much tuition assistance can I receive?
A. For courses at regionally accredited colleges or universities, maximum assistance is $4,600 per calendar year.
For job related courses, maximum assistance is $2,200 per calendar year.
Maximum total assistance in the calendar year (January 1 - December 31) is $4,600.
Q. What if the class I've chosen if filled or canceled?
A. If for any reason the course you planned to enroll in is not available (class is filled or canceled), see a school 
counselor so you can select an equivalent course that will satisfy your educational goals. However, you may
not substitute a course which has already been funded by the IUEP in a previous term or semester.
Q. What is expected of me?
A. You are expected to complete your course(s) satisfactorily in order to maintain continuing eligibility.
Q. What if I fail one of the classes that I take?
A. Should you fail to pass a course or if you drop out, you will be required to reimburse that portion of the tuition
that was pre-paid that is not refundable from the learning institution.
Q. What if I have questions about the program?

Q. What happens if there is a refund?
A. All refunds should be sent to edcor Data Services by the participating school or institution. If refund is sent
directly to the employee, such refund must be forwarded to IUE-DELPHI IUEP, P.O.Box 217018, Auburn Hills,
Mi 48321-7018.
Q. What exactly does the Plan pay for?
A. The Plan pays for:
tuition or a general fee charged in place of tuition,
registration or general fees, 
laboratory fees, and 
$100 of book(s) cost so as long as the employee is seeking a degree.
Q. Is there anything the Plan does not pay for?
A. The Plan does not pay for: 
supplies, equipment or materials,
transportation and parking,
meals or recreational activities,
graduation or other expenses,
any expenses for which you are being paid or that are eligible from other educational financial aid 
sources such as Veterans' Administration benefits, Trade Readjustment Allowance (TRA) benefits,
or grants and scholarships.
Q. What if I exceed the $4,600 per year limit?
A. Employees enrolled in college degree programs who exhaust their current year IUEP assistance may utilize up
 to $1000 of the following year's eligibility. (This advance payment will occur automatically when your request 
for IUEP exceeds the current years eligibility and is not available in the last year of the Agreement.) 
Q. When should I mail my IUEP application? 
A. Mail your application no sooner than 60 days and no later than 30 days prior to beginning your course.  
Q. What sould I do with my voucher when I received it from edcor?
A. If applicable, hand deliver the voucher to your educational instutution. 
Q. Where is the money from this program coming from?
A. The IUE-CWA Delphi Individual Upward Educational Plan is paid for by funds established in the IUE-CWA
Delphi Collective Bargaining Agreement.
