I
have been a member of Local 755 since November of 1975. I was appointed to
Pension/Benefit Representative in 1993. In that position, I have helped many
employees on Sick Leave, Worker's Compensation, and Extended Disability. In
that position, I have been able to help assist with the benefit needs of over
5,000 Retirees and their Surviving Spouses. I have been a delegate to the
Dayton Miami Valley AFL-CIO and State AFL-CIO. I have had numerous courses at SinclairCommunity
College
and WrightStateUniversity,
including extensive training in employee benefits, Worker's Compensation and
Social Security. I have also been a member of the United Health Care Appeal
Board. I have experience in both Local and National Negotiations in the
Benefits Subcommittee. I have been instrumental in improving the contract in
many areas of benefits including the recent gain of Chiropractic Care for our
Members on Blue Preferred HMO
